Out Like a Lamb

Here's a photo from the March 1st's snowstorm. February 28th was full of tornadoes and 60+ degree weather so no one believed that it would snow the next day. By golly, it did and it was amazing! I took many photos and will be updating my Flickr for the next day or so.

Finals were last Wednesday and Thursday I came down with a major cold. I guess it was my body's way of saying, "Take a break, slow down...". I put my long to-do list on the back burner, watched very bad tv, and ate everything I could. Today I'm feeling much better and I'm trying to get back on track. I have a week and a half off of school before the Spring Quarter begins and I have a major to-do list. On that list is: make some art, read a book, update the blog (done!), update my shop, make some more art, hang out with friends, watch a movie, write letters, etc. Just simple things that I enjoyed when I wasn't in school and kinda took for granted.

I just took a look at my transcript and whoo-hoooo I have a 4.0 GPA. That's never happened in high school or those three semesters of college in 2001. I'm so excited and proud of myself! I should buy myself plenty of Easter candy!

Dropping In

To say, whoo-boy, I've been busy trying to finish this research paper that I've put off for so long. Now the due date is Friday and I've got to get it done! Whoo-boy, my head hurts. Back to regular blogging soon!

Notebook Update!

I'm slowly working through my latest sketchbook. After several crappy pages I come up with this little gem. Micron pens in Moleskine Cahier notebook.

Monday Lovin'

Things I'm lovin' lately:
  • Snow in Georgia! Sure, it causes the entire state to shut down and cancels school for the next day, but I love it. Snow is magical and peaceful and I enjoyed staying in with the family, playing video games, and reading.
  • Gala Darling's post on Domestic Violence:
But I think we all know that what he did was wrong, & I think that her apparent forgiveness of his behaviour — even if she is punishing him in her own way — sends a really dangerous message to people everywhere. It makes abusive people think they can get away with it, & it makes victims think it’s not a big deal. It is.
  • Getting things done. I've been on a roll lately & marking off items on my to-do list quickly. Filling out financial aid forms for next year? Check. Balancing the checkbook and making the house payment? Check. Mailing film to be developed? Check. Finishing today's laundry? Whoops, I just remembered there's a load in the dryer that's waiting to be folded.
