Finally! I used up all the small artists' panels I had laying around the studio! It feels great to mark that one off the to-do list.

They're all available for sale in my etsy shop: http://www.momentofstars.etsy.com.

There's a small stack of 6x6 panels in the studio that I would like to use up asap. So I've decided to paint a bunch of cutesy stuff. Here are some of my ideas.

Painting, Books, Painting

I'm working on a watercolor of a twisty, creepy tree. It's an experiment with texture and not-being-cute, both things I don't usually do with watercolor.

After a year of being in my studio, I'm finally wrapping up some improvement projects. Today I'll be painting the baseboards to match the rest of the front room.

Here are my latest watercolors listed in my Etsy shop! Check 'em out!

A New Year, A New Start

One of my most favorite holidays is New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. There's so much potential wrapped up in two days and the excitement can be overwhelming. As for me, I get excited about the planning of a new time and reflecting on the past year. I have a new planner for 2013 and I've been busy writing down lists and dates and all sorts of ideas for the new year. I'm so excited about what this year may have in store for me!

I spent the past two days visiting the Georgia coast with my family. I made a promise to myself that I would one day live in Savannah, even for a summer. I can't get enough of this city.

We watched fireworks at midnight from the beach of Tybee Island. It was the most spectacular display of fireworks I've ever seen in my life, hands down. I'm so glad it was a very mild winter night so we could sit on the beach without needing numerous layers of clothing. I tried to take pictures but I spent all my time in awe of the huge display of color over ours heads.

The next morning we witnessed the annual Tybee Polar Plunge. It's now on my Bucket List.

Best purchases in Savannah/Tybee: Savannah Seduction Coffee, a rose by a street artist, a wooden acorn, and shrimp and grits for breakfast from Sunrise Restaurant. I'm so terribly broke but these were all worth it!
