Needless to say, I've been obsessed with drawing and painting tattoo designs. I have nothing scheduled for this weekend so I expect to at least get 5 more paintings done. Well, I'm shooting for 5.
There are still days I want to become a tattoo artist & every once in awhile I punch out a painting or two based on a tattoo design I've seen online. This one has been sitting on my desk for weeks and I finally sat down and finished it today. I think I'll start on some sort of tattoo art portfolio. & saving for a machine.
- Good mail days: An awesome doggy postcard from Susie/BoyGirlParty and two wonderful, beautiful, amazing prints from My Folk Lover. - Getting paid to make art: I had a huge commission this week and I can't wait to show it off! - Reading French Milk by Lucy Knisley. Yes! - Little Big Planet: A game that's easy on the eyes and can be played by the whole family. I bet if we let her, Mazzy would play it all day long. And y'know, I think I would too. - Toms Shoes: I finally ordered my first pair last week. They came the very next day and I'm in love with them. I'm glad I ordered a half size up, since they were a little snug.
Things I should blog about: - School - Recent Concerts - Window Paintings - Etc.
Things I Love Thursday? Yeah, inspired by Gala Darling.
This past weekend I had the amazing pleasure of flying up to Michigan to be with my family. I had enough Airtran points to upgrade to a first class seat both ways and was in awe of the larger seats and more foot-room. And free drinks and snacks??? Forget about it, I was grinning from ear to ear the entire way up. My cousin is joining the Air Force and everyone got together to have a "See-you-later" party. I flew up on Friday afternoon and came back home exhausted early Monday morning. The weekend went by too fast even though I got the least amount of sleep possible. I always feel like it's a marathon visitation; and I try to spend all my time with relatives. I know I'm biased, but I really do have an extraordinary family. I learn something new about my past every time I go. I also have an extraordinary family here in Georgia too. My husband supports my many travels and doesn't hold me back at all. The DeRosia family sent our Johnny off with a bang. I mean, how many of your aunts and uncles will do a keg stand at your going away party? We are all sad to see him go but we're excited about his future.
