Science Project

Mazzy's getting to that age where she's able to most of her projects on her own and it was very interesting to sit back and watch her work through this. Daniel and I helped her a little, but she did most of the work by herself. We bought the supplies, cut the Styrofoam balls, and spraypainted the popcorn for the asteroid belt...and that's about it. You can tell she's proud of her work. And we are too!

More Small Watercolor Paintings

I've been enjoying knocking out these little watercolor paintings lately. I look through vintage tattoo flash to come up with ideas, pick out a frame from my little collection, and there you go!

This one sold within days of putting in my shop.

Just wrapped this one up yesterday. I was going to spraypaint the frame black but the little painting seemed to work well with the frame as it is. It was meant to be!

I have one more in the works. If I can get it started today, I'll post photos tomorrow.

Today we're installing a new water heater. It's a total unexpected expense, but I suppose that's what happens when you're an adult!

Another Tree Mural

My sister-in-law found an image of a tree mural on Pinterest and asked if I could paint something similar. I spent Wednesday morning painting this. I had set aside two mornings to paint it but only needed one.

The other tree mural is in her son's room (my nephew), and I'm pretty sure I'll be doing a cherry blossom tree in another bedroom in the near future. I'm always excited to paint big!

Mark that one off my to-do list!

Small Town Mural - Finishing Touches

Yesterday I finally completed my huge flag mural. My husband Daniel came along to help with a few things. After he finished his part of the painting, he took some pictures while I worked.

Up Close
I didn't realize I had red paint all over my face until I got home.

Way Up High
I love this photo so much. It makes me look like I'm waaaaaay up in the air. It's really only 20 feet or so.

I'm hoping the scaffolding will be taken down today or tomorrow so I can get a completed photo.

This mural took about 28 hours to complete.
