Artwise, I've been busy working on commissions and my work's production of The Little Mermaid. I painted a picture of a gal's two fluffly dogs and it came out wonderfully. I procrastinated in giving it to her and when I did I realized I didn't get a picture of it. Damnit. But she loved it and that's what matters. For The Little Mermaid I made 12 large foamcore puppets, at least 2' x 3', that were painted to glow under blacklight. I didn't get photos of them either because they don't look too great under natural light. You can see paintbrush strokes and scratches and so on. When I saw TLM Friday night I was amazed at how awesome they looked. I'm going back next Friday to video them in action. Seriously, you have to see it.
Above you'll see TLM drawing I did to be placed on the postcard, poster, program, and billboard. That's right, billboard. I still have to get a photo of that. I designed the postcard too and it turned out great. I've been getting lots of compliments about the drawing and one person even suggested that I attend the Art Institute of Atl. I said thanks, but I can't right now, maybe when my girl's older. I'd much rather go to Savannah College of Art. So, we'll see...
